Options for Importing and Exporting Stock in PIMS
Overview
The Export and Import features in PIMS provide flexibility for multiple purposes. You can perform the following options:
- Export and Import a Stock file
- Bulk Delete Stock Items
- Export, update and re-import: e.g. Update the Website Stock Group Code and retain Stock Description
- Import Stock from a Specific Supplier only
Importing Images

Export and Import a Stock File
To Export or Import a file for all Stock:
- From your PIMS top menu, select Stock > Stock Search, or from the side menu Stock Tasks > Stock Items.
- Click Export to export a file of all Stock in your PIMS system.
- Click Import to import a file, then select the file to import.
- Select the file and click UPLOAD. When you see the message that the import has completed successfully, click Close.
Bulk Delete Stock Items
If you wish to perform a bulk delete of stock items that you no longer required in your system, you can use this option. This is done by importing a file of the Stock codes that you want to delete.

Export, Update and Import
Update Website Stock Group Codes without overwriting the Description
If you want to modify the Website Stock Group for any Stock Items but not overwrite the Stock Description column, then in your spreadsheet to import, remove all columns except Code and Website Stock Group Code and import data.
- Export your file from Stock > Tasks Stock Items.
- Click Export to export the Stock Items.
- Update the file as above to leave only the Stock Code and Website Stock Group Code.
- From the same screen, now click Import to import your updated spreadsheet
- In the Upload window, select your file and click Upload. When the file has uploaded, click Close.
Import Stock from a Specific Supplier only
