Update Discount Groups from ERP to PIMS or from PIMS to ERP

Overview

You can update Discount Groups from ERP to PIMS, and also from PIMS to ERP. You have control to determine if you want to update only new Discount Groups, to allow transfer of only new discount groups, or to update existing discount groups, or allowing margins to be updated. Even though it is possible to update Discount Group details both ways, it is usual that PIMS remains the source of truth.

You'll need the Security Role of STKGRPEXMTC to be able to perform these tasks.

ERP to PIMS transfer of Discount Groups

When you want to transfer new or updated Discount Groups from Lentune ERP to your PIMS system:

• In ERP, create your new Discount Group from the Settings > Discount Group menu, or edit an existing record, as required.

Import Discount Groups to PIMS

• Now go to your PIMS system to the Stock > Discount Group menu.
• Click the Actions button and select Import from ERP system.

• Next, in the Import Discount Groups from ERP dialog, you can narrow down your selection of items to import if you wish. Leave all fields unticked for the default settings. Alternatively, tick to select any of these options: 

• • Create new items only (existing discount groups will not be updated).
  • Deactivate existing PIMS discount groups if they don't exist in ERP.
  • (Allow to) Update the Active flag on existing PIMS discount groups.
  • (Allow to) Update the Description on existing PIMS discount groups.
  • (Allow to) Update the Expected Purchase Upper and Lower Margin on existing PIMS discount groups.
• Click Import to import your selections.

This will now update your PIMS system according to the import selections you have made.

PIMS to ERP transfer of Discount Groups

• In PIMS, create your new Discount Group from the Stock > Discount Group menu, or edit an existing record, as required.
• Click Create New.

In the Create Discount Group dialog:

• Enter the details for the new Discount Group, and click Save.

Import Discount Groups to ERP

• Now in your Lentune ERP system, go to the Settings > Discount Group menu.
• From the More button, select Import discount groups from PIMS.

• In the Import Discount Groups from PIMS dialog you can narrow down your selection of items to import if you wish. Leave all fields unticked for the default settings. Alternatively, tick to select any of these options: 

• • Create new items only (existing discount groups will not be updated).
  • Update the Active flag on existing ERP discount groups.
  • Update the Description on existing ERP discount groups.
  • Update the Expected Purchase Upper and Lower Margin ERP on existing discount groups.

• Click Import to import your selections.

This will now update your ERP system according to the import selections you have made.
