When you want to set up a new internet connected scanner to scan in stock orders, we've got some helpful notes for you.
These instructions are based on a Datalogic Memor 20 Scanner. You can find information about similar products on the Datalogic.com website.
- Put the battery in the device and make sure it's charged. Turn it on by holding in the power button for a few seconds.
- Run through the set up for the device. (It will prompt you on screen to put in a PIN, set up your time zone and other standard settings, similar to setting up a new cell phone.)
- There will be a folder labelled Datalogic. Go into that and open the Datalogic Settings app. It's a circle with a cog icon in it at the bottom right of the folder.
- Go to Scanner Settings > Symbology Settings and find EAN-13. Tap that and toggle Send Checksum so that it's on, (the toggle will turn green).
- Close the app and go to the Google Play Store app on the device. Search for Lentune Wholesaler, download it and install it.
- Once it's finished, open it and select the company the device is for, (i.e. your company name). Log in and you're away.
