You can restrict selected Stock Items to appear on your website only for specific customers based on their Receivable Contracts.
Overview
Where you have a specialised range of Stock Items that you want only selected customers to be able to view, you can set a flag against these items. This is called Personal Catalogue.
Any Stock items where this flag is set to No will be viewable by all your customers. No is the default setting.
There are two methods to set up items for this purpose.
1.Receivable Contract
Your website manager can manage which customers can view these products, according to whether or not they have a Receivable Contract for the item. The Receivable Contracts must be stock-specific.
2. Personal Catalogue
If you do not have a Receivable Contract for that Stock Item for that customer, you can add any relevant Stock Items to a Personal Catalogue for the Receivable Account, and your website administrator can then set up the required API.

Personal Catalogue Stock Items
For both methods mentioned above, you must set the required flags for each selected Stock item:
- Start at Stock > Stock Details.
- Select the Stock Item you wish to update.
- Scroll down in the Client / external options section on the right hand side.
- Display on website api: Change this selection to Yes.
- Only show for personal catalogue: Change this selection to Yes.
- Click Save and close.
1.Receivable Contract
If you use Receivable Contracts, you can create one for each Stock Item for the Receivable Account.
Please read Creating and Managing Receivable Contracts for details about this.
2. Personal Catalogue
Instead of using Receivable Contracts, you can add Stock Items to the Personal Catalogue for a Receivable Account. This can be done manually for each item, or for a longer list of Stock items, you can export the list for the Receivable Account, edit the spreadsheet and re-import it. This is specific for the Receivable Account.
- From the Receivables > Receivable Accounts menu, select the Receivable Account you want and click the Personal Catalogue tab.
- Tick Show all. This now displays all Stock items that you have flagged as Personal Catalogue.
Now, you can manually add Stock Items to the Personal Catalogue for this Receivable Account:
- In the Linked column in the right hand side, tick the row for each required item.
OR:
Export a spreadsheet to edit and re-import:
- Click the Export button to produce a spreadsheet of the displayed items. Now change the LINKED field to TRUE for each item you want to be in the Personal Catalogue for this Account.
- Then click the Import button and reimport your updated spreadsheet.
Set up the API
The final step is for your website manager, who must use the api/Shopping/SearchStock API which has a new boolean filter called UsePersonalCatalogue.
If this is set to True, it includes the personal catalogue items in the search result.
If this is set to False, or not set, then the Personal Catalogue items are included only where there is a Receivable Contract for them.
When you have set up the Stock items for the Receivable Account to appear on the Personal Catalogue, their users can log on to their customer portal to view these items.
