Move Stock items to a different Stock Group

Overview

Discount groups and Stock Groups are vital components of how you can manage your sales prices and margins, so it is important to have Stock items belonging to the correct Discount Group and Stock Group. 

If you need to move Stock Items to a different Discount Group or Stock Group, this can easily be achieved for multiple Stock Items at once by selecting the Stock Item/s and then selecting a new target group to move them to.

Move Stock items to a different Discount Group

To move a Stock item from one Discount group to another:

• Start at Receivables > Discount Group.
• Select the Discount group you want to move items from, then click the Items tab.
• Tick to select the Stock items that you wish to move, and then click the n items selected box on the right hand side, (where n is the number of items you have selected).
• Click Move selected items.

On the Move Discount Group Items screen:

• Select the Target discount group, and click Move.

The selected items will now be in the target Discount Group.

Move Stock items to a different Stock Group

To move a Stock item from one Stock group to another:

• Start at Stock > Stock Group.
• Select the Stock group you want to move items from, then go to the Stock Items tab.
• Tick to select any Stock items that you wish to move, and click the n items selected box on the right hand side, (where n is the number of items you have selected).
• Click Move selected items.

On the Move Stock Group Items screen:

• Select the Target Stock group, and click Move.

The selected items will now be in the target Stock Group.
