Importing lines for Quotes from your estimating system.
Overview
You can import lines for your Sales Quotes from your estimating system, e.g. Groundplan.
The file to import can contain the Stock Code, Quantity, description and price of the item.
If the Stock Code already exists in Lentune, then the description in the system will be used, even if the file contains a different description.
A Stock code is mandatory. However, if you use your usual non-stock code and add a description the item, then it will be added to the quote. If the quote is won, a new stock item will be created in Lentune when the sales order is converted.
If you want to add a line for a Stock item that is not one that you would usually have in stock, you can optionally import the Supplier's Stock code from PIMS. The Lentune stock list will be searched first and the item added if it is found there. If the stock item does not exist in your Lentune stock list, then PIMS will be searched for the stock item if there is a Supplier Code in the imported line. If the Stock item is found in PIMS, (unless it is marked as Obsolete), it will be added as a new Stock item in Lentune, and added to the quote. In the Audit log that comes from PIMS, the Stock item will be marked that it has come from PIMS.
If there isn't a price on a Stock item that comes in from PIMS, then the standard buy price will be used.
