Search PIMS for Stock Items.
Within Lentune, you can search the PIMS database for Stock Items, either from the Stock Details page or the Quick Search that is accessed from the right hand side menu.
You can then select a PIMS stock item and add it to your Lentune Stock list.
Search the PIMS Stock List from Lentune
- From the Stock > Stock Details menu, click PIMS.
. . . or from the Quick Search icon from the right hand side menu, click PIMS.
then..
Either of these options take you to the PIMS search window. Here you can search by entering a keyword, selecting a PIMS supplier, or leave both fields blank to search.
- Click Search to see the first 200 items. To see more items, you need to narrow down your search criteria by Keyword and / or PIMS Supplier.

Notes: 1. If a PIMS stock item has a Supplier Contract Ref in the Pricing tab, it will NOT be available in this search, as in the screenshot below. 2. Items from PIMS that have the Is Current Base Price field in the Pricing tab ticked will be available in this Search, as in the screenshot below. 3. Stock items that are flagged in PIMS as Obsolete will not appear in the search results.

Add PIMS Stock Item to Lentune
Now from the search window, you can see the items that match your search criteria.
For Stock: Ticking this field will set the following fields in the Lentune Stock details > Stock section when you import a Stock item. If you want these field to be set, you must tick this box before you select the item to import.
- Purchase authority is set to Counter Stock.
- Purchase control is set to For Stock.
- Stock policy is set to Normally Stocked.
- To select an item to be created in Lentune, double click the required line item. This will create and save the Stock item in your Lentune system, and this takes you to the Stock > Details tab.
- Now you can add any further details, if necessary and click Save.
This process will import the Stock item details to Lentune, complete with the Pricing and Payable Contract details, which you can now view on their respective tabs.
In the Payable Contract tab, the PIMS field will be ticked, showing that this Payable Contract has been imported from PIMS. You can click into the details, but you cannot change any details here; they must be updated in PIMS and re-imported.

Notes: 1. If the Stock Item already exists in Lentune, then details are not updated in this process. Refer to Export Stock Pricing Changes Report to import to your Stock module and notify your Receivable Customers and Update Payable Contracts from your Price Information Management System (PIMS) if you want to update prices and Payable Contracts for existing Stock Items. 2. Any non alpha/numeric characters at the start of the Stock Code will be stripped, and the first three characters of the Supplier's Entity Code will be added as a prefix, e.g. PIMS Stock code from #100/22 from PIMS supplier Schneider will become Lentune Stock code 100/22:SCH. |
