Lentune allows sending SMS text information and reminders to customers and staff via MessageMedia.
Overview
Lentune can be integrated to MessageMedia (formerly Bulletin) to send txt messages for information, updates and reminders to your customers and staff.
You will need a subscription account for MessageMedia. Their website can be found at https://messagemedia.com/ and they will discuss the costs involved and what plans are available.
MessageMedia Setup
Contact MessageMedia (who have taken over the previous provider, Bulletin) to set up your account with them.
They will provide you with an API key and Secret (think of this like a username and password) that you can then enter in your Lentune system under Settings>Communication Manager.

Lentune Settings
In Lentune's Settings, go to the Communication Manager.
- Find the section 'Message media text SMS settings'.
- Enter the API Key provided and click the purple button to add the API secret.
- Save in the top-right corner when done.
- To test it's worked, you can go to Sales>SMS (Text message) and enter your own mobile number. Send yourself a txt.
NOTE:
If you were previously connected with Bulletin you may have the following setup. This has been set to be deprecated in late September 2025 and replaced by MessageMedia who have taken over from Bulletin.
- Start at Settings > Communications manager > Text SMS settings section.
- Text url api: Enter https://www.bulletinmessenger.net/api/3/sms/out?
- Update Text user id: Bulletin will provide you with your unique user id. Click into the screen to enter that information.
- Update Text user password: Bulletin will provide your unique user password. Click into the screen to enter that information.
- Click Save.
Add A Signature Or Default Message To All Your Txts
You can set a signature or default message to appear at the end of all txt messages. This is set on the branch record (Admin>Branch or Settings>Branch, click into each branch) and is in the field 'Branch sms signature'. Anything saved here will appear on any txt sent by someone with that branch set as their default.
Sending SMS messages
SMS text messages can now be sent from several places within Lentune, where you have a mobile number set up for a person. Some screens will also allow you to manually free-type a number.
You can also set up automatic txts.
Where can I send a txt from?
There are several places including, but not necessarily limited to;
2. When goods are received in and the PO is linked to a Sales Order, you might receive an alert. The alert will have a link in it to send a txt to the customer.
3. Sales Orders. On the 'Actions' tab there is a link to send an SMS.
Look Up Historic SMS/TXT Messages
If you're trying to find old txt messages you've sent there are a couple of places to look. You can go to the Receivable Account's Communications tab and filter by the SMS Communication type. However, since txt messages can be sent direct to a mobile they're not always linked to a particular account. So another option is to go to CRM>Communications and enter the mobile number in the keywords field. Open the Advanced Search and set the Communication Type to SMS then search with those filters applied.
