You can set up Special Price Receivable Contracts to be used for a limited time range.
Overview
If you want to set up a special price, e.g. a monthly special for a particular Stock Item, and allow it to be used for all customers, you can create a new Receivable Contract without specifying a Receivable Contract Group or Receivable Account. This is known as a Special Price Contract. Such a contract can be time restricted, e.g. a monthly special.
A start date can be entered and an end date must be entered. Then the price of this contract will be available only when used within this date range. Once the end date has been reached, the next best valid contract will be used to price the item.
|
Note: An item is only priced when the stock item is added to an Order. If an item was added to an order within this period but dispatched after this date, the price would not be automatically refreshed. If a stock item was added to an order before the promotion period but sold in that period, it will not be updated automatically. However, you can update the price of an item in an existing Sales Order by selecting that item line, click the Selected items button on the right hand side, then click Reprice x selected items. This will find the Special price receivable contract and update the pricing on the order. |
You can search for these contracts by using the advanced search and selecting Special price contracts (global).
